Nazareth Ford was established in 1982 by John and Andy Daub with the purchase of the franchise. The brothers located it in a closed Acme Supermarket on Route 191 in Nazareth and marketed their new enterprise as “The Friendliest Dealer in Town.”
They continued to sell and service new Fords and pre-owned vehicles at that location until 1992, when the last vestiges of the supermarket were eliminated and a re-designed entrance was added to the building. Also in 1992, the Lincoln and Mercury brands were added.
In 1994, the building again underwent extensive renovation to provide office space, a new service write-up area and customer lounge. The service department was increased by four service bays, the inventory area was expanded as was the customer parking area. In November 1998, J. Shauger, who had been the General Manager since 1986, became a partner with the Daubs.
In 2004, it became apparent that Nazareth Ford was outgrowing its original home so they planned and built a new facility at 4067 Jandy Boulevard in Nazareth. This has been their location since June 2005.
Finally, in August 2011, nearly 13 years after becoming a partner with the Daubs, J. Shauger purchased the dealership becoming the sole owner. He restored the dealership’s original name, Nazareth Ford. As Dealer Principal, J. Shauger and his staff continue to be the top-selling Ford dealer in the Lehigh Valley. Nazareth Ford takes great pride in the fact that they are known as a friendly, family-oriented dealer with thirty years’ worth of good will and successive generations of customers.
